Chateau Lake Louise

Location: It is located 183 kilometers west and north of Calgary. It is about a two hour trip. Kilometers are about 2/3 of a mile, so if you're from the US, you'll feel like you're going really fast.

Find the location: Copy the coordinates below. Open Google Earth, paste the coordinates into "Fly To" and click on the magnifying glass.

Equipment: Canon EOS 5D, 28-105 lens, polarizing filter. Shot at f22, 1/4 second set on ISO 50.

Digital imaging/manipulation: Photoshop removal of a small branch at the bottom edge. Slight exposure adjustment.

Notes: This is a beautiful place to stay. There are other nice lodges in the area. This is about 45 minutes from Moraine Lake. The viewpoint is an uphill but relatively short hike from the lodge. Fairview Point is a little over a mile from the lodge.
